Alberto Dal Lago and Karla Ysunza Challenge Underwater Wedding World Record on July 17

Diving instructor Alberto Dal Lago, 41, and real estate agent Karla Ysunza, 43, are attempting to break the world’s largest underwater wedding record on July 17, 2011 off the coast of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. In order to beat the record set in June 12, by Francesca Colombi and Giampiero Giannocaro of the Coast of Elba Island, Italy they will need 260 other divers to accompany them.

So far there are only at least 160 other divers confirmed to attend the wedding, which will happen at 21 feet below sea level. On the other hand, the couple will need more if they want to get in the Guinness Book of World Records. The couple is now welcoming any certified divers close by to participate, granted they bring their own equipment.

A wedding is supposed to be a great day in couple’s life and for Dal Lago and Ysunza breaking the record is their way of showing their love for each other and to sends a message concerning about the preservation of bull sharks and oceans.
